Need A Realtor In Destin? — Get The Facts First

by Chris Anderson, Ph.D

Were you thinking of buying some property in Destin, Florida? I hope that you’ve thoroughly educated yourself on the market and are ready to proceed ? having done over 50 million in property transactions in my time, I have a few helpful hints for you as you begin your search.

Personally, I think that about 95% of agents and brokers really won’t do all that much for you ? but the other 5% are truly great. While this may sound a little harsh, I’ve found this to be true in my personal experience; in Destin and every other market I’ve worked in. I’m going to assume here though that you are looking for a Destin realtor to buy a property.

First, go to Google and search the phrase “Destin Realtor”. You’ll get abut a zillion results ? start looking at the pages which come up. What do you notice about them?

Most likely you will notice that almost all of them look the same! On most of these sites you’ll see exactly the same things ? a smiling picture, a MLS search and areas for the realtors own listings, as well as brief profiles of the realtor and the community. Everything you need, right? Well, almost?.

But what these sites won’t tell you is whether or not the realtor knows what they’re talking about. I already know that any realtor can show me the MLS listings and take me to see some properties.

A Realistic View Of The Danger of Scuba Diving

by James T Catrell

Scuba diving is quite a safe sport to partake in providing the standard set of rules and regulations are adhered to. It is only in circumstances where these rules are violated do we see the dangers arise.

Let’s start off by looking at the main errors that folks tend to make that change a safe situation into a potentially dangerous one. By doing this I hope that we can then put scuba diving into some sort of perspective and change any misguided perception that this is a dangerous sport.

Failure To Obtain Standard Certification.

Genrally speaking it is not possible to rent out or buy scuba diving gear without giving evidence of some sort of diver certification status. Whether it be a beginner, intermediate or advanced status. What does tend to happen though is that someone will rent or buy equipment and give it to an uncertified “diver”.

Since the explosion if internet auction sites this has become even more widespread. This is a sad, irresponsible and potentially dangerous scenario because scuba diving requires specific skills and knowledge and if the activity does not have a framework that regulates inappropriate activity we will see serious accidents and even a catastrophe.

Attempting To Dive With Little Skill Sets.

Some specific diving situations require specialist skill sets such as wreck penetration, cavern diving, shark diving and ice diving. These having dangers associated with them that standard diving does not and therefore tailored training is a MUST.
